The game is broken in arcade for joystick users. I've done everything I can find on these forums to try and fix it but the solutions are marginal help at best. When I adjust to fire and then have to move the stick in any other way to follow the target, even a little, the crosshair is just all over the place and bouncy. I can't really hone in on my target because of the wobble. It's like swinging my guns back and forth across the target and spraying to get lucky hits. I'm at the point where I feel like it's pointless to keep trying to improve my flying skills because I just CAN'T hit the broad side of a barn with the crazy joystick sensitivity/wobble. ![]() (ignoring the weird new damage models and lack of scoring for me when I kill or assist on a plane and it doesn't register) I can go through a whole match in arcade in 1 plane and win a firing solution on another plane 15 or 20 times before the match is over and still leave with only 1 or 2 plane kills if I'm lucky. ![]() I feel like I've made a lot of progress when it comes to maneuvers and winning firing solutions. I have watched so many combat tactics videos and learned about the planes that I feel like I know the theory behind it now and I'm trying to put it into practice. So I've been a die-hard joystick user anyway and tried to get better because I just refuse to play it with a mouse based on my reason for playing in the first place. The point is, I saw that there was a problem and it wasn't just me. I'm sure you've all seen the threads so I won't go into that. I went to the forums and found the landslide of threads about mouse being way better in Arcade than Joystick etc. You can imagine the frustration that ensued after we realized we didn't just suck really bad, the aiming was AWFUL with a Joystick in this game on arcade mode. ![]() I LOVED the game so we took off to the store and came home with 2 Logitech Extreme 3d Pro sticks to try it out. So I started scouring the web looking for something and happened upon War Thunder. We had never used a flight stick in any game before. My cousin and I were sitting here one day talking about Star Citizen and wanting to learn how to use Joysticks to fly. I've been playing it about twice a week now for 3 weeks or so probably 4 to 6 hours at a time.
